Life's like that but still can't give it up
LOL - I got a great job once... and yes I was redundent in less that three weeks..whole thing shut down.
but I had been travelling so I hadn't given up anything...
but there were folk who had given up good permanent jobs and had families to support...
I was disgusted.

It happened to me once as well, on the day my salary should have been paid, so what to say else than you need to get an NOC letter from them.
If I was that guy, Of course, I will feel disappointed and sad, but what to do??? life must go on....
