Trouble ahead then.
So good of the Gulf Times to start the day off with a humourous quip.
At a conference dedicated to Qatar's mass transport system and road expansion, in the run up to 2022, a stand up comic took the stage and entertained the crowd with offerings from his latest one man show:
"Speakers felt experience over the years has proved that co-ordination between different departments and agencies and adopting of consumer-friendly strategies based on effective consultations among stake holders has produced good results while implementing projects in Qatar.......................the realisation of most projects would depend on the effectiveness of the government plans and strategies."

What about this
"The official said in the 11 years between 2004 and 2005, the country would have spent not less than QR55 bn for the development of its state highways, express ways and other important roads."
Can't GT just check what they print.
"al-Jolo called upon the region’s authorities to come forward with innovative programmes to effect a major change in the mindset of the population on the issue of the use of public transport. People should be educated to use the existing public transport in a better way, and there should be good awareness among the general public about its benefits in reducing traffic congestions. In short, there should be better acceptance of public transport among the country’s residents, both nationals and expatriates,"
What are they talking about?
People can't use something which doesn't exist.
I don't think there will be a half decent metro system in place by 2017 as they claim. Maybe 2020 but you never know..
