But he is pure apathy... i like some of his movies... like on deadly ground, and death this and dead that,,, doesn't he have any movies like "Today we live and go get a coffee and return home safley after a pacafistic journey where we didn't go over the speed limit"
am i asking too much?
Probably, he tears people a new one then says something witty (well witty to his fans)
and look what he is now...a US Governor. Quite a run for one lousy actor.
Anyone knew how Sly struggled before he was able to write that ROCKY script? ...a REAL LIFE STORY worth making into a film...laughing his way to THE BANK.
but throughout his career, he didn't have any bad publicities about him and his private life remains private.
I follow his movies though I don't consider myself a fan. But he is (in real life) a 7th-dan black belter in aikido and his adult life began as an aikido instructor in Japan. He also became the first foreigner to operate an aikido dojo in Osaka, Japan.
In addition to his professional achievements, he is also known as an environmentalist, an animal rights activist and a supporter of Tenzin Gyatso - the 14th Dalai Lama and the cause of Tibetan independence. So as a Buddist, spiritualism and Buddhism play an important role in Seagal's life.
His also a PHILANTHROPIST. The charities he joined and spearheaded for theneedy children around the world, the environment, animal rights, and AIDS projects like the "Save a Million Lives" is making an impact on HIV/AIDS in Africa.
i have no idea who Carradine is (was he the one in Kill Bill?).. Bruce Willis is not bad.. but Stallone? oh my gosh i could never understand a word he says with his slurred speech.. :P
Amoud, I am with you. You are not alone. Both Seagal and Carradine make me want to puke. Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis almost cross the line too.
My bad, it was exec Decision (13 years after the fact lol).
Good god, whats up with this guy, and that sprayed on widows comb and black leather jacket. I actually dislike this guy a little more than that other poser David Carradine.
I like his movies, (especially the one about human trafficing - forgot the name.) He is huge and his martial art is interesting as well. The photoshop-ing of his picture is amusing but c'mon I have seen him smile.
Actually the movie where that happened was named Executive Decision (1996), some other actor/actresses in this movie were: Kurt Russel, Halle Berry & John Leguizamo (among others)

chuck norris wanna be :D
You only liked it because of Erika Eleniak ..
I thought he was awesome in Glimmer Man.. That jacket and medalion.. What a combination ..
this guy is all class, who could forget his work in Under Siege.
His ife was a real good looker though.. Wonder why he divorced Kelly LeBrock ?
I would love to see Arnie play a bad guy like he did in Terminator series. I wish Stallone would do the same but so far no luck.
Oh Brit, you overlooked the part where he just wants to be taken as a serious writer and not a sex symbol :S

you missed one more point of segal.
Wrist breaker - can see that in all his movies breaking a dozen wrists.
Ahh, but you know that scene in the Specialist where Stallone is doing Thai Chi...

a great artisitc mind to find the difference in his feelings(I'm talking about his action in movies.
He has big body.. but no commendable expressions...in his act..
"what is the essence of a man?" -- i remember that line of his...
In the light of this post, I just dug up the following quote from Sir Seagal.
"I am hoping that I can be known as a great writer and actor some day, rather than a sex symbol." Steven Seagal Sayings
This actually made me spew milk from my nose upon reading it...

Argghh, I am embarrased to say I know what movie that comes from. Perhaps I am a closet Seagal fan and dont know it.

Regards!!!
I soooo hate this guy, and never watch a movie if he is in it.
I did watch Airforce 1 in the cinema back in the day, and was the only one who laughed when he got sucked out of the airplane.
The whole mini mullet, semi-oriental bad boy native american "I can eat nails" image is too much for me. What a dork.
