OMG this turned from a funny joke to a serious matter.
And for the trolls who haven't yet watched the video.
Watch it ,it's hilarious.
The difference between scientists and preachers is that one of them relies on proven facts and the other rely on stories that has been transmitted from thousands of years..
Human intelligence varies just like apples vary in quality and taste. Preachers stories work better for those not fortunate enough to have the required IQ that allows them value science the way it should be.
The biggest mind **** is when someone is Very religious and holds an Advanced Science degree.. It's like, bro make up your mind and stop the hypocrisy... it's either or buddy... just "Either" "Or"
Science, Logic, Reason are very interesting! i'm NOT gonna fuck off! cheers! :-)
I never visit the Religious Section. It would be nice having a science section but I am afraid its not possible to stop religious guys to chip in and start preaching there too. Arguments will continue as usual.
I am talking about QL.
No, because we rehash the same old things with each post. Just go back two weeks and check the number of posts and the discussions.
brit, I have not heard of scientists going to mosques or cathedrals to force their scientific theories...but on the other hand there are schools where some teachers preach biblical writings to students.
If you are talking about QL..I agree, there should be a Science section so that such arguments could be stopped. But don't you think such arguments make QL interesting?
I have no issue with that.
it's just that lately there has been "preaching" and brow beating from both sides.
brit, The difference is scientists admit they don't have satisfactory answers to some of the questions but religious preachers seem to have them all!!
Time to start a "Scientist Group" to rival the "Religious Group"
Both sides love preaching :O)
So Science exists in a vacuum. I have had enough of Dawkins' evangelism, perhaps we will have perspective in 2013
