DOHA: With the East coast of the US gearing up for the arrival of Hurricane Sandy, one man in Qatar has decided to show his support for the millions bracing themselves for chaos.

“In solidarity with my brothers and sisters in America, I have decided that I will not be going to work today,” said Omar al-Alamo, a 32-year-old IT consultant in Doha. “In fact, should it grow to become the largest storm ever to hit North America, as experts predict, I might not be returning to work all week. It’s the very least I can do.”

if you're black or white, if you're a Catholic or Muslim; If you're a vegetarian or Meat Lover. Calamities and Disaster are a natural occurrence that will occur in any country regardless of how good or bad they are. They'll kill you whether you are guilty of a crime or an innocent like a child.

I do wish that people do not find fault or blame a certain country of doing bad just because they've experience a natural calamity....

God does not punish people in their life. He mete's justice in the afterlife, after all of their actions and decisions when they were alive.

God is just and merciful during our life, as he awaits us to embrace his teachings and doctrines. He awaits us until our final breath, to go back to into his folds and asks for his forgiveness...

But God does not want his name to be used by people; who does not understand him and his teachings; who only desires bad things for others, because of their action, instead of praying for their safety and well-being.

I do hope that in the future, you use God's name for a better purpose.

I am sure that they can do without your support and solidarity as they have moved their forward bases and military to the Gulf. They are more worried about their bases then their other little distractions back home
