Sandman, an excerpt from their website -

Columbarium - We own and operate the landmark Neptune Society Columbarium, the only active non-denominational cemetery in the City of San Francisco.

It's called a cemetery isn't it? It's in the City of San Francisco. So the fact is wrong.

Basically, it is illegal to actually cremate anyone in town or bury anyone in the ground in San Francisco, California...proper. The only exception today is the San Francisco National Cemetery/The Presidio. The two Columbariums, of course, are for the interment of ashes only.

Many of the new cemeteries were created south of San Francisco in the town of Colma. Colma has the distinction of having more dead residents (around 5 million and counting) than living souls today. As a matter of fact, the cemeteries of Colma are considered some of the most beautiful in the World. The wealthy barons from San Francisco's heydays built elaborate monuments to themselves that created a tourist destination which continues to this day.

Deepb, You stopped to soon, the neptune society will creamate you and spread your ashes at sea. The cemetary is not in San Francisco. Wine Country is the Napa Valley, at least 50 kilometers from SF.

The origin of the name "Canada" comes from the expedition of explorer Jacques Cartier up the St. Lawrence River in 1535. The Iroquois pointing out the route to the village of Stadacona, the future site of Quebec City, used the word "kanata," the Huron-Iroquois word for village. Jacques Cartier used the word Canada to refer to both the settlement of Stadacona and the land surrounding it subject to Chief Donnacona.
