Hi, i`m a mother of 6 months old baby girl. I saw so many times here in Doha people the gave yoghurt to the baby, my question is, is it safe to give ur baby yoghurt at this time? Because my husband said it`s too early for our baby. Pls, I need advice. Thx
Yogurt is a great baby food. It contain lots of high quality protein, plenty of calcium, and beneficial bacteria. It is appropriate to offer yogurt to babies generally after six months of age, and then only as a supplement to formula or breast milk, not as a replacement.
Choose the plain, full fat yogurt. Babies do not need the added sugar of the flavored variety. If your baby does not care for the yogurt plain, try adding a little mashed fruit such as banana, applesauce or papaya.
I would say no to yoghurt at this age and this climate. Try light soups, stewed & mashed carrots/apples, even soft-poached egg. In India, we also start kids on dal-pani, which is the stock you get when you boil pulses. It's v nutritious. Just be sure that whenever you start anything new, give her a tiny bit, and watch her for a couple of days. If she doesn't react adversely, you can make the food item a regular part of her diet. Also, start her on only one new item a week, so you can monitor which foods she is ok with.
don t give him know after 6 month you can start to give him some and just 1 per day 8 month you can give him because 5 to 6 month the flore intestinal still immature and can produce vomiting and nausea for your baby ok
Yes you can give yoghurt. But they sell petit suisse (fromage frais) in little goblets of fruitflavor , specially designed for babies. Maybe more tasting for your baby than yoghurt.
