bahrain is not so big... if people get bored of qatar then bahrain is a place you can tour for half a day... with regards to money... the rent maybe cheaper but i feel that the cost for living necessities is the same... public transport is not so accessible, best if you know someone that does carlift if you dont have your own transpo but cost maybe double that of what you would pay for here in Qatar because even the taxis dont use the meter...
it depends on your priorities... for example in my case as a single lady... i prefer qatar because for me its safer, probably because the law are more enforced... in bahrain... its like a field day... everyone can do anything... its called to be the "sin city" probably because the country is very, very open... there are probably a few more items available in bahrain than in qatar...
