Viva Bahriya to Porto Arabia - walking distance?

Hi there, my young family and I are moving to Doha in a month and are looking at apartments. Is it possible to walk from Viva Bahriya apartments to the shops/cafe's etc at Porto Arabia? Or do you have to drive around? I like that the Viva Bahriya apartments have access to the beach as well as pools etc. I would rather be able to walk accross to the marina however! Thanks for the answers.. I haven't been able to find answers when googling the question.

But is it just roads between the two or is there a walking path? On google maps it looks like an area that can be walked through...

Walking isn't safe on road side in todays on-phone city drivers any where in the world.
