Hi QL peeps. I want to know is it possible for my mom to stay here for a year or more (she is a widow )under my husbands sponsorship. What type of VISA should we get for her?
Your husband can get a visit Visa for her. Initially for 1 month, but now they say if its "in-laws" you can only get two months maximum extension. Though some say it depends on the personnel attending to your application that day.
You can get family visit visa and she can stay for 3 months at a time as I understand from a friend.Earlier one could stay for 6 months on extending the visit visa. and she has to stay out of country for 3 months then return. Rules seem to have changed a few months back . But I donot think mother can stay on long term visa .
