Suggestion to discuss on Doha

Hi all, I know there are millions of feedbacks regarding life in Qatar, but I would have some more precise suggestions if you are so kind to help me.
Tomorrow I'm going to discuss a carreer opportunity to work in a luxury goods compnay, based in Doha, but I'm not sure what I have really to ask to understand 100% if I will be adaptable to the life in Doha (I'm italian).
they anticipated to me they will provide for house, car, medical expenses and the salary prososal will be very good.
A part for that, I live now with my girlfriend, and of course if I will move she will move with me, but she should find a job, she's not that kind of girl who can stay at home all day doing nothing. How's working for this? And, is that possible to live together or whe should be seen like "siners"?
Than, is the life so boring as I read? is really there nothing to do, or do you have to spend all your money to get some fun?
How's going when I want to go out from Qatar? Do I need permissions?
Is the weather so killer?
Well, I know I could continue in this questions way..But you couldn't give me all the answers of course..Anyway, all the feedback you would give to me will be welcome! Thanks a lot to everyone!

Miss Teacher, he is going to live in the accommodation given by the Company and do you expect them to let her be a part of their accommodation illegally?

Bring her out on a visit visa get her a job and Voila!!

No on a serious note Mandi is right...I was thinking of teachers here that live together boyfriend/girlfriend but they both obviously have sponsors!

So could be a tricky one with the living situation!

Or as Beyonce would say..."if you like it then you shoulda put a ring on it!!" ;) :P

But, MT, his girlfriend really can't live here without being sponsored and that can't happen without being married. Or, I guess he could adopt her.

LOL @giumira - a fellow QL'er

Just don't make it in peoples face that you are living with your girlfriend. Lots of people live with their partners over here. :)

THere is lots to do here! There are clubs, bars, boat parties, desert safari's, souqs etc..... 1 thing though, if you drink alcohol, it is very expensive at the clubs and in the hotels. If you get a drinks license it is cheaper to have in your house.

You will need permission from your sponsor and an exit visa to leave the country. The weather is not bad this year but this time last year it was really starting to heat up and by June/July it was at least 50'C. Lots of a/c and you'll be fine!!!

No, you cannot live together, you won't be so much "sinners" as criminals! If you consider 50 centigrade unbearable six months a year, then killer, yes. And you will need an exit permit to leave Qatar on vacation, yes. Finding a job as a local hire might not be as difficult as it will be underpaid. Any other concerns?
