Is there a rule that children especially physically disabled children are not allowed in Business class, particularly in Qatar Airways?

they do not care for your satisfaction; that simple.

the only way out is to go for other Airlines or escelate the issue their accreditation organisation (IATA or so I'm not sure)

Thanks to all your replies, friends. My special needs child is an angel. She cannot create havoc anywhere as she cannot talk or walk.I asked because it would be definitely helpful if she could lie down in a reclining position rather than me holding on to her to prevent her from slipping down the seat or getting choked by the seat belt.

I just called last week and infants are allowed in Business on QA. What's the difference between a crying baby and snoring passengers?

I have yet to fly business without at least one snoring gentleman on my flight.

Children are very definately allowed in business class on Qatar Airways be they disabled or not.

The only restriction might be if they are severely disabled and might need a release from a doctor saying that they are fit to fly.

Regarding other airlines... Some have policies that children under a certain age aren't allowed to travel in first or Business class.

Which I can kind of agree with if you pay thousands of $ for a ticket and then have a screaming baby next to you.

But no airline that flies anywhere in the West would have a policy of denying a seat in business or first because of a disability would be leaving the airline wide open to legal action!

As Mandi said this is completely illegal in the US and as Qatar Airways flies to the US we have to abide by all of their laws in this regard!

So no it won't be a problem just inform Qatar Airways when you book the ticket of the child's condition.

This will ensure there are no problems

i.e. They will tell you if you need a fit to fly certificate from the doctor and they will arrange any special care items that might be required on the flight i.e. special meal oxygen wheel chair etc etc

There are some airlines that have decided to prohibit ANY children in business class on certain flights. But I have never heard what you posted. Mandilulur is right. It would be illegal in the US, EU, etc.

I don't know about Qatar Air but on any US airline this would be very illegal.
