I am expecting important documents sent by regular mail from Canada. Can anyone tell me approximately how much time it will take for me to receive them? I was told by some that it'll never happen....is this true?

PO BOX and they pick up their mail every Saturday.

Yes can call them and ask the reason. Visit Qpost website for more information. Sometimes your compound administration delays picking up parcels from their PO Boxes.
Received my mail, it's been over a month. Should I remain hopeful?

Inshallah, to me means never. My husband tells me this all the time and I never get what I want :)

Surely, it would have been better to courier important documents.

I have so many snail mailing pals...I have two from Canada too...They have to write the address perfectly with PO BOX and flat number etc..it takes maximum two weeks..I repeat..Maximum. (:
First it has to get through the snow in Canada and the Indian postmen in Canada hate the snow. They once it gets to Qatar, you enter the inshalla zone. You could be lucky and get it within one week of arrival or it could be a month or two.
If sender have written proper address of yours in Qatar then it should be recieved .....
Not true . If sender have written the proper address on the letter or pacakge it will be recived ....
