I have a Qatar residence visa and right now I am in the USA.My Qatar residence visa needs renewal in August and I want to stay in th USA untill June 2010 to allow my kids to finish their school year. I would like to know the requirements for keeping the residence status in Qatar.

I agree with Wayne and best home 4u but there's a missed joint link here, if she's the sponsor of the kids she must return to Qatar for 1 day at least then automatically it will entitling her to stay for another 6 months but if she's independent and under husband visa the husband may fill a special form to immigration to extend the existing the mom and the kids outside Qatar for another 6 months by paying QR.500 for each R.P bearer to remain valid for wife and kids...

you cannot stay outside Qatar more than six months. Ohterwise before the six months period, you have to come back to Qatar so that your residence visa will still be valid.

if your RP expire in August 2010 and you just want to stay in U.S. until June 2010,then you still have 1 month to come to doha to renew your RP

Depending on your RP I think you cannot be out of Qatar for more than 6months. You can come back for 1 day and go back to the USA again if you want but you cannot be away from Qatar for more than 6 months or your RP expires.
