My mais run away 2 mths ago; a week ago she appeared in her embacy. We have reported her to CID; we have also reported her to the police for spending 2,400QR on the phone to her home country.
Who pays for her ticket back home?

All of you that think "God will help those who help others" should think that its only valid when the maid is being a GOOD maid. A maid that runs away and STEALS 2,500 QR is not a maid to be freed. Its a maid that needs to be punished appropriately by CID. This has happened to my family as well and we have a small apartment. And we are not that much rich as well as we are Pakistanis and the only reason we have a maid is cuz my mother is sick. She has taken advantage of us, our hospitality and my parent's good-heart. Severe punishment should be placed on them.

If it is proven that your maid is at fault, you do not have any obligation to pay for her ticket. CEID and her Embassy will take care of it. More or less she will be detain first before leaving this country.

The CEID will ask you to pay for her ticket, if you are the one at fault.

Because she runaway, its a case of absconding, she will be the one who will pay her ticket back home. Its up to you as the sponsor if you will allow her to go home without a court case.because she is absconded in her duty, its up to you if you want to file a case against her or let her go home without having to file a court case against her but it will be the maid who will pay her ticket back home. You are no longer responsible for her.

Your house maid and you are the only one who has to be kind and helpful to such poor humans. She likes to go back home. So help her - Take back the complaint from police/cid and see that your house maid leaves without any problem. Pay ticket money as well as pay her well a good amount as gift and send her. God will give to those who gives. God will not give if you one doesnt give. This is for sure in life

Did you check with both embassies, yours and hers? They may help you.
