Notice .... Workers are not allowed.....

I saw the following text on a construction site earlier today:

"NOTICE!!!! All workers are not allowed to enter the Marina side area. a fine of QAR 5000 once caught by CCTV camera"

These are the workers that you pay QAR 1000 per month to build your nice buildings, shopping malls and roads.

Shame on you. This is biased and racist.

was exclusive for the residents of said place. Even residents who don't have a business inside the Marina area are also forbidden.

Let me say it this way, I built a hotel complex in Doha but after two years, I can not access the building to which I handle personally the construction as Owner's rep.

NOW, is that discrimination?

Let us try to differentiate what is discrimation and what is rule. We all agree that not allowing bachelors on Malls' family day is discrimination. But this notice of workers forbidden to stay or roam around certain areas as posted is for me reasonable.

Shouldn't a Marina be restricted to berth owners and maintenance personnel only anyway? It's ridiculous to ban one segment of society only, when no one who doesn't own a berth should be allowed.

To be honest, I didn't see many workers in Monaco -especially at the Marina or Pool ..

or maybe they want to give the impression that place is another Monaco and they dont want the workers to be seen on or around the playground of the rich and famous

If it is private property, then their right to admit who they choose and workers' rights to leave for better employment in other countries. Also the right of everyone on this thread who are complainers to refuse to go to the this area or park their yachts there lol.

Agreed that people think the labor who risk their life to build the towers and all the place where we enjoy as slave...

I have read somewhere in the paper that the A class contractors earns the profit arround 1000% but still pay its labor Less than 600 Qr.

Reality Sucks

Its really not easy when THE PEARL MANAGEMENT sends notices of the workers loitering in the boulevard

(I'm being sarcastic here...just in case no one noticed).

The workers must be grubby-looking...and they will stick out like a sore thumb in a posh area like THE PEARL...

where is this located? If this is in The Pearl, not only the workers are prohibited but all those without business or own a yacht at that area. So even engineers who have no business on said area are also prohibited?

Has anyone considered that the Marina side area may not be considered a "safe" area for the construction workers to enter the construction site from? If they do, the companies could face penalties for not adhering to safety rules and regulations.

They use them to build this nice beautiful places and marina on very low salaries and then they dont allow them to wander around there. It says a lot about how the lower level workers are treated out here

Perhaps the people paying big money for moorings and lifestyle at the Marina don't want them around..

Yeah, they consider them as two legged animals. Most of them are paid as less as 600 Riyals. Humanity seeks forgiveness from these 'authorities' indeed.
