Is this not Rude (Deleted by Mod)

Following the traffic rules, I normally stop my vehicle on roundabouts to give the right of way and wait until i find a safe gap from the traffic coming from the other side, then i cross the roundabout.

I noted that many times some (deleted by mod) guy with a big monster cruiser stops on my back and gives horn to force me to cross the roundabout if he see a meter gap in the flow of vehicles coming from the other side. while i judge that gap is not enough and if i move forward, either there would be an accident or the other vehicle has to decelerate to give me way.

is this not a very rude and unethical (deleted by mod) to give horn and force the next car to cross the roundabout while it is not safe to do so ???

No, I never meant that. All disputes can be resolved by effective communications and check the latest mode of communication the tech have provided us, we should make the better use of this.

On the point of stabbing in the back; which is not at all ethically and morally correct. The followers of this traditions get the similar treatment ONE day from their loyal favorites.

To me its rude! Definitely rude! I would prefer him to cut my lane than horn me. I chased someone here with a steelpipe in abu dhabi for horning me repeatedly hahaha

You all totally misunderstand what the friendly local wants to tell you. Honking the horn means: how are you? Nice to have you in Qatar. Enjoy your stay.

Why do you always think so negatively?

i am on D-ring..5 lanes of traffic stopped for a mystery jam...

don't allow the honking horn to force your hand.

When it happens to me... I look in the mirror, and show them the "one minute" hand-sign....

The funniest is when your stuck in major traffic from all sides and they hoot at you....

people dont ignore it... take it seriously.. its matter of life... small mistake on road can kill lives... so those stupid people who do so ... tell them not to do.. and I am also confused and really faced this.. is there any department that deals with these things...

Long ago I faced one serious problem from one young qatari gui. i reported to the police after some days the police said .. please ignore it .. he was not good guy . the car is in his mothers name and she will be in trouble.. so i took back the case..... I also ignored it.. but if u complain they will take action...

its not right to do and I am not defending that person but you all should admit that there are some drivers who create unnecessary traffic jams coz of their driving skills. here is one example that if you are coming from service road to 3 lane main road and then you have to take left so IT is not necessary you have to find complete 3 lanes free to just directly go to third lane so you can easily take left or U turn what ever you want to do. Go to the first lane, give indicator and then one by one go to Third Lane. This is one of the example

We should discuss those as well :)

Just had this experience today morning, now your topic gave the platform to vent! It’s like pushing the person into the traffic, like a mind wresting how long you can hold on to your senses! Due to constant honking the car parallel to me jumped onto the traffic at the roundabout and caused lots of chaos..

It is Rude but its normal incase of Qatar;

When I came to Qatar and discuss this issue; my friends told me that they never stopped at Round abouts; just view the R/A. use power cruiser and cross thats it.

I advised to the new drivers to use always the last lane and ignore all honks / flash lights, just follow the rules you have learnt at the driving schools. Keep cool when on driving seat.

All the best.

I recieved the Flashing lights while on C-ring coming up to the Toys R uS..I was making a u-turn..anyway the guy who flashed me was able to get in front and made a U-turn and sped up very quickly...

just to turn into Hardee's...

I was laughing so hard...I guess there was a Sale on Burgers, or he thought they were about to be sold out...

I always wonder, why they are in such a hurry..

If it's near to prayer time??

Is there a real emergency??

But the guy speeding to Hardee's is what I always remember...

I would like to think life will go backward 100 years ago...without luxury cars/ suv's but donkey, camel and horses for ride. Im sure no headlights blinking, no horns and no rush but peaceful journey to work. hehehe im sure no QL as well! :)

You will soon realise that there are a lot bigger issues and problems out there , then some moron flashing his lights at roundabouts.. He's flashing his lights. He's not forcing you to move.

i have created my own motto regarding these kind of drivers blinking their headllights and honking their horns.

"You may be huge, fast and local... but im still in front of you"....

safe driving on the weekends to everybody!

you are in qatar and it is normal..

I have seen people crossing from one road to other side of the road to overtake even though a car is on move on the right road.

You have to be more carefull as you will be the person fine for any accident or any voilation.

Good Luck.
