New Zealand Correspondence School
Hi fellow world champs
My son is joining me in December after he finishes his NCEA Level 2 exams in NZ. Obviously it would be crazy to change at this stage from NZ system to IP or the British system. I thought I would enroll him in a local school and he can continue NCEA level 3 with the NZ Correspondence School. However, I visited many schools and none understood what I was talking about or even tried to see if they can help, with the exception of one school which has a smart principal who asked for more info to enable him to consider the situation. Does any one have experience with a similar case? If yes, please advise? All ideas are welcome.
Cheers
lol you are welcome an independant school is a school that follows the supreme education council .
i go to one in khartiyat which is close to landmark . they teach in english and if he dosent understand all the books are from britian and are all in english the exams are prety easy and the teachers help you out alot . the school i go to is called nasser bin abdullah al atyya school .
its pretty well known for its education . but the problem i he must wear that long white thingy its a tradition here ...
I am really appreciative for your reply. It's been very helpful. Can I ask you what's an independent school? Also, if you don't mind, which one do you go to?
I haven't been able to enroll Abe in a British curriculum school. They say it is too late now, and they are right.
Cheers
hello i also had this problem i came from new zealand 6 months ago i was in the middle of my ncea so i enrolled with te kura and i and i am finishing off hopefully soon i also went around to international school unfortunately most of them had no idea what ncea was ...
at the moment i am in a independent school so i do not waste time i am still looking for an international school .
most of them don't teach well .
i think i might just finish my level 2 online ...
and by the way Qatar university have no idea what ncea is my brother who completed ncea 3 tried applying but they had so many difficulties understanding what it was but after a few months of struggle they accepted him in some low course ... oh and if your son is going to enter year 12 of British curriculum here they will most probably say no and that he will need to start from level 1 ..
hope this helps..
