If I have to go out of Qatar for a couple of days, being the sponsor of my wife, will she have any trouble at the hospital for any emergency? do they need my signature for any urgent surgery?

She is 6 months pregnant, and I have to go abroad on an urgent matter for a short time. someone told me that Qatar hospitals will not except ladies if the sponsor is not with her. Is this true?
thanks

in case of emergency they dont need ur signature as long as ur wife have ur marriage contract with her together with ur passport copy and the page of the visa for that country ull go to, so that they know that ur not here... and in the hospital they will do all the urgent cases right away....especially in private hospital where ur wife is makin here prenatal check ups or in hamad hospital if ur wife doin the prenatal in the health centers... as far as i know...i hope this helps.... :P

that's not a problem.. you know Qatari sponsors leave the country all the time, for business or vacations.... and they don't even have to notify the people they sponsor that they are leaving.. as long as she doesn't need to leave the country.. she doesn't need the sponsor.. she has her visa card so why would she need you??.. after all if anything happens.. you're not even allowed in the women's hospital!!

Very interesting. I suppose they need the sponsor to help with the delivery if nothing else. Life would be so much difficult without the sponsor around at all times
