Need Help Finding Infant Formula Emfamil Lipil w/Iron
Does anyone know where my daughter-in-law can buy Emfamil Lipil w/Iron infant formula in Doha? She has just moved to Doha and started a job, and can no longer nurse, and now her baby needs formula. The baby was premature and it seems this formula is the only one she can tolerate--she becomes ill from the other formulas. Unless she can find this certain formula in Doha, we will have to mail it to her all the way from the USA, which is time-consumming and expensive. Plus I'm sure the cans of formula shouldn't be subjected to the heat while being mailed over.
My son is a full-time student at Texas A&M-Qatar but since students can't sponsor their own wives or children, she had to get a job in order to get a visa to join her husband in Doha even though my husband and I can support all of them. They're living in our villa in Doha--they arrived first because my son had to be there for the fall semster. My husband will start a new job in Doha next month, so we'll soon be joining our son, daughter-in-law and grandbaby.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Milou, that is so nice of you to offer to bring formula! It looks like it won't be necessary because my daughter-in-law said she found an alternate formula that her baby is doing OK with, but I sure appreciate your considerate offer!
these kind of formulas are sold in farmicies , if they cannot find it there ask them to consult a children doctor who will advice them of the proper formula avaliable in Doha.
I had a premature baby a few years a go and I had to try different kind of furmulas befor my baby was happy with one of them, dont worry they ll find every thing they need here.

I am from Canada and travelling to Doha on first week of November, I could bring them some boxes or tins if you want. I will carry them is my hand bag to avoid the heat. Let me know if they cannot find any in Doha
Cheers
Thanks for the advice. I will pass that info on to my daughter-in-law.
Get the Marhaba booklet. It lists mum and toddler groups they might be able to guide you. Other than that there is a paediatric unit at one of the hospitals (the Al Hammad I think) go there for advice. Again the Marhaba lists all the hospitals and their specialities.
Hope that helps.
