My family resident visa problem

By chiragkumar

My wife left qatar 7months back for delivery purpose and her resident visa will expire in next month.
She is not able to come back in qatar untill december because of 2 months small baby.

After her visa expiration, can she come in qatar using visit visa ?
If resident visa is expired, can I apply again for family resident visa ?

Thanks in advance for answer in line.

Phintam is absolutely right...You can still go for the extension of the 6 months period to one year...Just go the the immigration office at the Airport..this is the place where you get exit permits..Go there and ask for the form, just fill it, if you can. Otherwise, tell anybody there to fill it for you...but for that you have to take the photocopy of ur passport, ur wife's passport and of ur child's passport if you have that... Remember childs under the age of 2 months can enter in Qatar without visa, if travelling with mother...just you have to get the Birth certificate stamped by the Qatar embassy in ur native town..above two years, you have to obtain the visa for them..

Your wife can come in December, if she wants to come on visit visa...and for the new resident permit, you have to go through all the same procedures you went before...i.e. file an application in labour dept to get the approval.

Resident visa expires automatically, if one stays out of the country for over six months. But it is possible to extend this period upto 12 moths by paying an additional fee of around 500QR. I think you should have done this before the expiry, but not sure whether you can still apply for a extention now.
