babies love to hear the sounds, especially mummies voice, sing lots of nursery rythmes to your baby or read books to your baby,they may not understand the context but will love hearing your voice. I would avoid TV programs, especially at an age when you can control TV viewing. Also you can play nursery rytme songs on a cd player softly.
As for toys colourful mobile toys for the crib are good, just be sure to take them away when your baby is able to lift themselves up and grab them to avoid dangers.
