Many wonderful pets free to good homes!
The summer months are here and many irresponsible owners are once again abandoning their pets before they leave on vacation or for good because of a misguided belief that animals can fend for themselves once domesticated.
We need the help of the community to help us help these rescues. Please tell your friends that there are many wonderful animals waiting for loving forever homes at The Qatar Veterinary Center. Print our flyer and post it in your compound or your workplace. All have received a check-up, been vaccinated and de-sexed if old enough and are free to good homes. I think the government should seriously look into this matter and make arrangments to provide a shelter for these animals specially in this climate....:(
Moreover people - as informed many times, plz put some water and some food items outside your houses for these animals and birds.
QAWS can't take them because they are full to bursting with a waiting list and they are too young.
There is no government animal shelter.
All I can do is persuade people to adopt and take stray/dumped cats to be neutered and spayed to stop this.

i agree with u animals should be treated also like a member of the family.... be kind to animals ;)

Hav u tried putting their pics in mall,markets etc. or checking with QAWS for the same ?
I would hav taken those kittens but m stayin in a flat where no pets are allowed...:(
I Pray tat those poor kittens find some good home.
They are dumped kittens left to starve to death in a friend's basement garage. They will have to be given the injection to end their lives if no home can be found.
Now can you help Rizks? Because this is just way too distressing.
That's why I say adopt don't shop. Also take stray cats to be spayed/neutered so this just doesn't happen so much.

Adopt a pet
The situation is heartbreaking. Five kittens dumped in a cardboard box are now in my flat. I have 3 cats and will be going away for summer soon. If I can't find a home then they will have to be put to sleep. There is nothing I can do and the situation is heartbreaking.
Please take strays/ferals for spaying/neutering at the government vet. It is free. I can lend out boxes and cat traps and show you how to use them. It is easy.
And please don't BUY - adopt one of these darling creatures.
