MESSAGE FROM BRITISH EMBASSY
Dear Members, The Ambassador, John Hawkins, has asked me to pass on some information to our membership which he feels may be useful for the many people who are having difficulty finding school placements for children of existing or newly recruited staff. Sherbourne, a well known English school will be opening in September. The school is currently taking applications for admission for September 2009 – Reception to Year 6. Information regarding the school can be found at www.sherbourneqatar.org or call 443 1622.

I am surprised to see the "justification" of the high fees !!!!

this is the best example, how the society two sets of kids in the future..... those who can afford the fees and become the "elite".......and those who cannot and termed as "non-elite"

lilbop, 5600 per term is probably lowest, most are nearly 8-9 thousand per term.

the fees still cheaper than American school and still competitive with similar school in Doha.

The fees probably give an indication of the people they're trying to attract - i.e. Western expats whose companies pay for their children's education

AFter seeing the Fees structure, I can really think that why schools are getting harder to find as they are no longer affordable.

.

Guys,See this link & observe it

http://www.sherborneqatar.org/content/

.

I think we need affordable schools with good education for all. With such high fees, how a middle income family can afford it.

.

I urge the concerned ministries to seriously observe such fees in Qatar
