Live in West Bay yet School in Gharafa?

We all know the Kafkaesque situation with school waiting lists. It is simply not possible to wait for my kid to get into school somewhere and then choose a place to live close by.

So I have settled on a furnished apartment in West Bay Dafna. I am hopeful of a school place in Gharafa sometimes before mankind travels to Andromeda or even sometimes this century.

Is it in reality possible with traffic conditions in school time to take your kid to Gharafa from West bay and back every day and? How long will that take? I have only been in Qatar after schools were off and have no idea.

Like everybody said..its 15 mins or less when you travel early between 6-6:30. I am from Gharafa and going to west bay area for work and we dont have any trouble w/ traffic.

From the Golf Club (in West Bay) to Compass is ~25 minutes in the morning, and closer to 40 minutes in the afternoon. By Doha standards it's not so bad. :)

It's one of the easier commutes as per John's post.

Shapil. Think about spending the rest of your life with your mother in law in the same room.

It's more difficult then that.

John are you sure? I am plunking down a year's rent soon and this info is the only reason I haven't done so yet!
