Today I got confused in the mall... My son (3 years)was crying hungry and thirsty and I didn't know whether it is legal to feed him in public during Ramadan...
Please tell me if it is legal
Yeah, I think the law/religious restrictions are quite relaxed in this country, which is good for everyone. I am a Christian and I believe you should respect the custom. Even Jesus said give what belongs to Ceasar to him and what belongs to God to God...... You can feed your son in public but don't make that as an excuse and walk everywhere with a bucket of KFC as someone may interpret it differently and may take offence at it. Surely, it's obvious that your 3 year old boy will not be able to consume this bucket of KFC!!!
Enjoy the Ramadan. It's supposed to be the Holy Month so live in peace with everyone.
no problem with that ma'am... i have searched some gvuidelines on ramadan and it says there kids below the maturity period are exempted from the practice. so don't worry.
small children esp a 3 yr old dont understand the purity of this holy month they r hungry as usual,,,so its compeletely ok 4 u to feed him to quench the lils ones hunger,,,its ur responsibility,,,,
I am a Muslim, and i believe it is completely ok, as you said your son was crying. but all you need to do is to take your son at some corner or some kind of hidden place, let him eat and then do your shopping.
ofcourse food in the hand of your son while you walk all over the places is not ok. there is no legal issue in this but it is just not ok with this culture.
