Husband Sponsorship to Working Visa

I will transfer from Huspunad Sponsorhip to working visa, can you please clarify if i need to exit the country to do this, as per our PRO, he instructed me to get my current visa cancelled, exit the country and come back under new visa. My husbands PRO said, I dont need to go out of the country as his NOC is enough to transfer. Can you please help us which is the correct process to follow.
