How's Qatar?
By ravibird603 •
Hey guys,
I just moved from Doha, Qatar a year ago and now I really miss it. We are living in Texas at the moment and I really wan't to know if it's a good time to go back there! We are losing a little money over here, but my family is here, so I'm not sure whats important... I went to the American School of Doha over there and I lived in Al-Jawahara. Are the rents still high? How's life over there? Can you guys make me feel better by telling me some BAD things about Qatar? I know it sound weird, but I need to feel better before I kill myself! Thanks a lot guys and you guys are kinda like my cousins, so keep in touch with me forever! Thank you!
Best of luck dear
Sooner the better.
I am thinking of migrating to Canada/U.S. after having worked in Qatar for some time and after realizing that sooner or later I have to leave Qatar......
After seeing my bank statement I think I should leave Qatar at my earliest convenience
1. rents are killing
2. traffic regulations are changing each passing day. These laws will be so bad one day that u need to pay fines equal to the value of ur car each year
3. there are laws being discussed to have expats work for a max. 6 yrs. what are you gonna do after that.. u will miss texas job too by then and remember u will be 6 yrs older by then.
4. there's no night life here
5. Are you insane (sorry for the word) to come back in middle east
WHAT!? Really? Whats the average rent for some of them like Al-Jawhara near Al Saad stadium? Thanks!
Objection !!!
Rents are still very high ??? No No No No that was before two years.

Do not kill yourself, stasy in texas

Still Alive!!!
yup..rents of villas and apartments are still very high
Further, things like food stuff have gaining prices over last 6 months
Regulations become quite strict i.e trafic regulations, visas validation etc.
But instead of all Qatar is Qatar
