How's Qatar?

Hey guys,

I just moved from Doha, Qatar a year ago and now I really miss it. We are living in Texas at the moment and I really wan't to know if it's a good time to go back there! We are losing a little money over here, but my family is here, so I'm not sure whats important... I went to the American School of Doha over there and I lived in Al-Jawahara. Are the rents still high? How's life over there? Can you guys make me feel better by telling me some BAD things about Qatar? I know it sound weird, but I need to feel better before I kill myself! Thanks a lot guys and you guys are kinda like my cousins, so keep in touch with me forever! Thank you!

I am thinking of migrating to Canada/U.S. after having worked in Qatar for some time and after realizing that sooner or later I have to leave Qatar......

After seeing my bank statement I think I should leave Qatar at my earliest convenience

1. rents are killing

2. traffic regulations are changing each passing day. These laws will be so bad one day that u need to pay fines equal to the value of ur car each year

3. there are laws being discussed to have expats work for a max. 6 yrs. what are you gonna do after that.. u will miss texas job too by then and remember u will be 6 yrs older by then.

4. there's no night life here

5. Are you insane (sorry for the word) to come back in middle east
