oh, please can some of you stop trying to make this poor girl feel guilty.

Trish - you did get some good advice here. It does take time to get used to a new place, make friends and simply feel at home. If it is just home sickness, do give it a bit of time and try to make some friends. If you still don't like after a while, I am sure you can resign and go back home.

I sympathize with you! This is common to us Filipinos, specially the new ones. Try to divert your free time to meet people, mingle with your friends. Get busy!

I know that its a bit hard to beat, but if you feel that nothing can heal your homesickness then the best thing to do is tell your boss of your problem. They might be lenient on you and allow you to go home. But if they will not allow you, then its a problem! Maybe you need somebody to talk to have a cup of coffee somewhere...

But just remember that Homesickness is a type of sickness, and sickness which stay for sometime, but eventually be gone. It's a feeling that you have to enjoy, but need to endure. Be strong, it will go away... you also need to wait and enjoy the part of enduring it.... ENTERTAIN YOURSELF AND NOT ANYBODY ELSE...

You are a Filipino... you can do wonder to life...

I guess yours is a "HOMESICKNESS" case...

I do understand you gurl, when I first came here, it takes me exactly 3 months to recover from my homesickness. Almost everyday I wanted to go back home but some things keeping me not to...my responsibility...

Anyway,in your case you can go to your Manager and tell them you want to go back home for good due to your reasons. Go to your Manager, ask for advice and later on make it in black and white. But you have to shoulder all expenses ofcorz since you are just new....

Goodluck my dear :)

After getting Work Visa, you have to get exit permission from the company, why what's the problem for going back to home?

you should be thankful in just a month you found a job and your visa is settled as well..unlike in my case been here for months and found a job but unfortunately visa was not yet transferred..there lot of Filipinos same in my situation ...You can go home unless you pay for all the expenses of your company for the processing of your visa...Sayang talaga...
