How is Al Muntazah to live with family

Hi everyone, I am thinking of moving to Al Muntazah with my family to live there. I just want your opinion as to how Al Muntazah is to live with a family (couple with 1 child). I want to know from following perspectives:

1) Safety for family - Can my wife get out alone and walk around to shops

2) Traffic - Can I drive from Al Muntazah to West Bay without suffering through congestion too much? Approximately if I leave at 7 PM, can I get to work at 7:30 PM?

3) Social aspect - Is Al Muntazah a fully residential suburb or also have industries? Are there many trucks on the main roads? How bad is noise on the roads for residents?

Your help is highly appreciated.

Regards

Hi there,

I have been living in Muntazah since 2005 and sadly saying we are leaving this vibrant place:(

We are a small family, before I get my driving lisence, I used to go walking at any time around the day from my home to: Al Mera Coorporation, Al- Muntazah Medical Centre, the centre (Megamart, KFC, Dunkin Donughts),cafes, resturants, patissries, tailors, beauty salons, studios, pharmacies are all between 5 to 10 minutes walking. So YES IT'S A WOMAN FRIENDLY PLACE!

For you, the best route to take is through Al Jeeda R/A, once you get out of it, take Al-Khaleej St. staright to reach the West Bay (Travelling time=30min in worst senarios/peak hours), try it and tell me. Never use the courniche. Good Luck:)

As per the safety aspect, always watch your way as crazy cars always are in rage and it's something common in Doha streets. For the noise, we had no complains.

Distance wise , no not possible u have to leave at around 6:40 or maybe 6:30 am , and no its not safe for a women to walk around , al muntazah is a poor person area , you should move to west bay if u want to be in the high class criteria , and be safe side.
