Health Insurance

I am covered for Health Insurance by my company through the Qatar General Insurance Company. However, my family is not covered. We are expecting our second baby early next year. Would like to get opinions on how I can cover maternity expenses. Have heard of the Health Card, which I am intending to apply for. This I understand can be used only at the Health Centers and Hamad Hospital. Are there any other Health Insurance schemes for the family which can be utilised at Private Hospitals too?

Thanks for the advice. Any idea where the nearest Health Centre to Mushreib is? Heard that there is one near Station Petrol Pump. Did a search but did not find. Does anyone know the exact location?

For meternity cases, Hamad Hospital is more suitable as they will ensure regularly check ups of the baby and mother. Also it is the cheapest, as only QR 100/- per year. If you go for insurance, it may cost you much more and some Medical centres dont have facilities for these cases also.
