I am bit curious to know the health care standards in Doha, do u think that Doha is having world class facilities as well as Doctors / specialists to take care of all the problems, Please treat this as a topic for mutual discussion
i am from uk, and hospitals and health care better by far than uk, i had hip replacment here 2 yrs ago, was great, i had other hip done 8 yrs ago in uk, last week the hip done in uk dislocate,WITHIN 15 MINUTES AMBULANCE ARRIVE WITHIN 3 HOURS I WAS FIXED AND VERY COMFORTABLE IN A HOSPITAL BED FOR 5 DAYS, EXERLENT TREATMENT, THANKS HAMED HOSPITAL
Im due to arrive in Qatar in a couple of weeks from the UK and just wanted to know how the health care process works in Qatar. You will have to excuse my ignorance on this matter.Do they have small GP surguries dotted around as they do in the UK? Do you have to register and then make an appointment to go and see a DR? or do you just go into a hospital and wait to be seen?
Thanks

I always go to hamad hospital for me and my baby, so far they are very professional drs and nurses, and the equipment they have is latest one. and 1 more thing they didn`t charge much for all that.
Qatar has yet to have good medical care although the new Aspetar has qualified drs. and nurses for orthopedic problems. Hamad hospital brings specialists from the States to treat different ailments the drs. here are not qualified to treat. Hamad Hospital is way too small for the growth of the country and unless you find the best dr. in a certain field you could suffer. Most people for anything serious leave the country if they are able. Unfortunately for me I have had emergencies and they messed up my care and I had to be sent abroad to fix their mistakes!
