Getting my wife here sooner.... I MISS HER

Warren McKenzie
By Warren McKenzie

Good day to everyone.
I want to get my wife here sooner, rather then waiting to get my permant residence then having to sponsor her. I have read up on this and have found that you can get a visit visa for a month and can renew it each month for up to 5 months. Is this correct? What are the cost implecations? Does she have to leave Qatar before renewing? Where to renew?

I thank all in advanced.

Warren

hey Buddy, without RP,you cannot bring her on your own,but either your company can sponser her or you can go for a hotel visa..hotel visa is expensive..you should pay between QR 1000 to Qr 1200 for one month valid visa, and you can extend upto 6 months renewing every month with a fee, after that these peoples itself will arrange for a day exit and entry to muscat or abudhabi with a package.

if you need you can contact GULF PARADISE HOTEL near jaidah flyover.contact no is 55819827.this person will give you all details regarding this,i forgt his name.

Warren, if your wife is European judging from your family name, she should be able to get a visa on arrival at the airport. Check out the following link:

Warren, like Tinkerbell and Chancellor said, you can have her here on a Business or Tourist Visa. (Tourist Visa validity would depend on her nationality)

The thing to do is ask the HR in your company to have it done. In fact, that's what you should have negotiated in the first place, at no extra cost to you.

A Business Visa can be renewed every month for 3 months, after which she would have to do a 'Visa run' out of the country. However, by that time, you should have your RP, hence her papers can be processed for a Family Visa, and she won't need to leave the country.

That also proceeds at 1-month stints, and in the meanwhile you should put your HR hard at work to acquire her your sponsorship. With the right amount of nagging, it can be done :) I have proof :)

Warren, if you book your wife a ticket on Qatar Airways, you should be able to get her a visit visa.

Another way is to go through one of the hotels to get a visa, however that can be a bit pricey.

I am curious, I know a Warren Mackenzie, same age group as you, from SA... wonder if you are the same one... he wasn't married though... well not the first and last time I saw him, anyway:-)

Dear Warren

Sorry for your emotional feelings

With out RP you cannot apply a visitng visa for your wife, so be patient till you get an RP

else

Ask your company to issue a Buzness Visa to her or Get a visit visa throug a Hotel (But this last only 3months and 1 month validity)
