Dress code in Qatar

as a matter of respect to the host govnt. and its people where you will come for work or for whatever purpose , just dress decent and non offensive dress thats all.

although abaya is not mandatory in qatar but wearing sleeveless shirts and skimpy shorts in public places may not be appropriate and not allowed in qatar.. of course they are still more conservative here in qatar... you can't even wear bikinis in public resort... for as long as it will not distract the attention of the public you can wear anything that you think is comfortable for you...

thank you tryke....some said that it's not allowed to wear sleeveless and short pants, and some said it's ok. In Indonesia we don't have problem wearing sleeveless and short pants. How about in Qatar ?

i mean for non-muslim women, wearing abaya is not required.. for muslims it's their choice whether they want to wear it or not... only in saudi arabia..abaya is mandatory for all women...

just like in dubai & indonesia.. no abaya required for women..
