Hi pals,

I just wanna know if there is a "Distilled Water" here in Qatar that would be available in the market? If so, what name/brand is it?

I went to Lulu and Carrefour but I couldn't found, only mineral or bottled water is available.

Thank for your input.

By the way, I wanna say sorry for not precisely elaborating my question that tend confusion to those who want to give their ideas...

Anyhow, I need a distilled water for human consumption...distilled water for drinking...

because my infant nephew, a native of the Philippines just came here in doha 3 days back..his mother told me that she is using distilled water for the bottle feed of her son and she is asking me where we can buy here... I had tried to looked up in lulu, carrefour, dasman, family food but i am not lucky enough to found one. i advise the mother to use a typical mineral water like nestle, rayyan or safa that is available in any store here in doha... but when she did it..her son having some stomach trouble..then i told her to boil the mineral water to remove some minerals which causes of uneasiness of the baby...then it works...

but still she wanted to find distilled water..if we couldn't found i think the way of boiling the mineral water can be used for the meantime...

thanks guys for the infos you partaken.

Does not exist here in Qatar. The only distilled water is those little bottles for cars which is not intended for human consumption! It is more acid than normal.

The best solution is to buy your own distiller and use a local bottled water and distill it this way.

It is excellent quality. The distillers are on the internet - Ebay - just look at water ditillers and the ones that range from $125 - $200 are perfect.

Make about one gallon in about 3 hours.

Not aware of availability of distilled waters in the supermarket, except maybe in the cars accessories section.

precyla.. purification is way different from distillation. car batteries and some medical devices require distilled water and you cannot use anything else.

the only distilled water i am seeing here are those meant for CAR battery use. all bottled water are mineral water. some just have less concentration of minerals compared to others.
