i am a qatari and i am sad to say they dont we dont have many facilities here for disablied people. we do have one center but that's pretty much all. the government is trying to improve the situation but its been taking time. however, qatar is a beautiful country that is very safe and everyone here is very friendly and helpful.wish you all the best.

It is really sad but true that apart from the 'token' parking space allocated to the disabled, there is hardly anything concrete being done for the disabled on regular basis in the State of Qatar.

Its the midst of economic boom the importance of basic needs is blatanatly and consistently overlooked!!!

Don't even think of it, there is zero services for special need people here. I have 10 years old daughter has the same condition.moved here mid 2007. I have hard time find her school, I found one that charge around $1000/month which could be anything but centre for special need. beside when go out with here let say to a mall or park people will look at her like she is an allien. The bottom line is definitly this is not the right place for your daughter.
