Qatar, Saudi, Jordan, Sudan and Egypt have declared that the first day of Ramadan will be on Saturday. It has been confirmed and advertised.

In Kingdom of Jordan, it's Saturday so I guess Saudi Arabia will announce soon that it's Saturday

Libya, Turkey and Balkans are fasting tomorrow Friday first day of Ramadan. Check Al Jazeera website

if they didn't announce it after evening prayer tonight (which they did not), then it means it will be on saturday. or so i've been told. ymmv.

You have to wait until the clerics in Saudi sight the moon and declare it offical. (Or you can check islamic websites which will give you the date by astronomical calculation. Muslims in the US and Malaysia favour this method)
