We arrived here from the UK last year in a similar situation with long waiting lists for our 3 kids at the main reputable schools (Doha College, DESS and Park House). We used Cedars for a term and it was absolutely fine as a stop gap.
I think of the main schools Park House has the shortest waiting list and possibly the best education. We are certainly very pleased with it.
Might want to ask the ladies over at expatwoman.com on the Qatar chatboard. Loads of moms over there and lots of education questions. Might get more responses. Best wishes.
