Best residential areas near 'TV round-about'
Hello.
What are the best residential areas that are close to both the 'TV Roundabout' and the 'Doha English Speaking School'?
My accommodation budget is around 15,000QR per month. What kind of property can I expect to get for this sum in the most convenient location between these two points that I mentioned?
Thanks in advance for your responses!
only 11days until we get the keys and our beautiful villa has gone !!!! we have bought our furniture and I am due to leave the uk with our dogs in 2 wks!!!!!...is there any recourse at all ?
Thx for your reassurances, Mystica!
Don't worry! eventually they'll get in to DESS because they are British. When they tell you they are in the waiting list there's a hope unlike other school they will tell you frankly they are fully book until next year. We were only 1 week here when they called us back and we were on the way trying to find Newton School before, but we couldn't find it when we received the call from them and they told us to bring the kids the next day.
Keep your finger cross this waiting won't take long.
It's great to be loved!
Thx guys!
Mystica, nope not managed to get my kids into DESS. But hopefully their Brit status will help them get up there on the waiting list.
if you can afford the rent or can get an empty villa ... ask the agent :
- Gulf helicopter compound
- Al Jazi Compound
- Gulf Garden (next door to Al Jazi)
- Al Markhiya Complex is behind Burger King roundabout (very popular for DESS kids and long waiting list).
- Just across Al Markhiya Complex there is Al Markhiya garden which is 2 storey's villa.
Lots of compound nearby that area. just drive around and you'll find them. I'm sorry I couldn't name all the compound, because I wasn't writing it down but I took my friend to look around for accommodation in that area and they have 15,000 range for a small compound with various facilities like swimming pool, recreation center etc. Sounds like you managed to get your kids into DESS then. Congrats!

We have just moved into Doha Heights which is within walking distance to DESS. Rents are around 10k for a 2 bed and 11k for a 3 bed apartment, mind you the building is rather crusty. Had no water this morning and repairs are carried out using sellotape or duct tape (gaffer tape). However, you can save money.
