Bears N Buddies

We are moving to Doha in July from Canada and I need some feedback on a business that I have the opportunity to bring with me.

I am part of a company in Canada called Bears N Buddies. If you are familiar with "Build a Bear Workshop", it is the same idea, but we do not sell out of stores, we are strictly home based or internet sales driven.

We are a do-it-yourself teddy bear workshop, meaning that you order the animal or doll of your choice and you build it...so you receive the animal skin (unstuffed), a bag of stuffing, intructions, certificate of adoption, a satin hug and kiss and you build it yourself. A great acitivity for kids, and they love the end result....a buddy they created all on their own, that they can cuddle with and care for.

Please take a look at my website and let me know if you think this is something that would be successful in the expat community in Doha. Since becoming involved with this company in Canada, I have sold to all age groups....children from 4 years of age and up, wedding gifts, baby shower gifts, retirement parties, Valentine's Day gifts, Easter gifts, and so on and so on. Let's be honest, everyone loves to get a cuddly teddy bear as a gift, regardless of age.

As a mother of 2, I know I am always looking for ideas for birthday parties....this is a great alternative to the usual pizza parties, etc. And, at the end of the party, everyone has their own special friend to take home, rather than a loot bag filled with candies or toys that break or get thrown in the bottom of the toybox after the first day. We offer great birthday party packages!
