Is anyone joining QP from the UK? If so have you had any luck with finding schooling for your kids? This is bearing in mind that you can only use certain schools on QP's list.
The whole point is that QP doesn't have any reserved places with schools. QP are oblivious to the fact that there aren't any school places available with any of the schools on their list. I can get a place at some of the schools not on the QP list, but then QP won't pay the school fee which defeats the object.
I think like everyone else I am hoping that a place becomes available when QP finally gets round to processing our visas.
But one thing I'm reluctant to do is go to Qatar without a school place for my son. Anyone else think the same or is it likely that something will turn up?

How do you use a school on QP's list if the school concerned does not have any places for your children? And what happens when there aren't even any places on the WAITING LIST?
Well, this is a perennial topic on Qatar Living and you just have to keep trying. The good news is that headteachers are now returning from their holidays and so you should start to get some straight answers. It seems to me that loads of parents apply to heaps of different schools, so it would not surprise me if spaces magically became available in September.

True...
Even if there is a list of schools for certain nationality, it doesn't necessarily mean that QP has reserved spaces for the kids.
