Normal delivery will coast QR. 15,000/- and CS will coast QR. 23,000/- as i remember..

if you have QIC insurance you will have to pay 10% out of this but you have to add the medical tests for your baby which is free in Hamad hospital but expensive in al Emadi and which is not covered under to QIC insurance at all.

also they can help in issuing the birth certificate but you have to complete the follow up in Hamad hospital.

they give for free only baby care..which is nothing to be mentioned comparing to HAMAD hospital.

in Hamad Hospital you can apply for a special room for QR. 500/- and you will stay in a separte nice room alone with your baby only with lot of care..

good luck

I didn't deliver in Al Emadi, but my son was hospitalized there once and I can tell you that they are very clean, caring and nice but very commercial. They will drag money out of your pocket, even if this means asking for un-necessary tests and delaying your hospital check-out.

I am chosing Al Ahli for delivery this time, not that I am sure it's any better, but I am willing to give it a try.

fyi: first time, I delivered at Hamad and it left me traumatized! so, noway!
