Affidavit of Marriage and Proof of Religion
I am going to get married soon and I will need an affidavit of marriage from the US Embassy in Doha to this (I know I need it, so you do not worry about that). However, does anyone know how they confirm your religion? Do I need to bring something to prove my religion, or do they just ask. I do not want have to go the embassy three or four times. Please do not respond if you do not have experiences with this or you are guessing, because it will be a waste of time. The embassy in Qatar has a crap webpage, and says nothing of it. Looking at other regional embassies, Egypt has a pretty good summary of what I would need (judging from my personal situation), but no mention of how your prove your religion.

If you do know and reply, I will really appreciate the help. Thanks.
been asked during job interviews and may be when applying for an entry visa to US/Canada/Australia.
why don't you call them and ask their requirements and what exactly you should bring?
Proof of religion? What next proof of your political views?
It is a sworn affidavit in front of Lawyer; confirming your religion....a documentary evidence prior church marriages.
When we got married in church in abudhabi the minister send us to one law firm to sign a papers confirming that we or neither one of us is not muslim.
Nobody ever asked me a proof of religion.
Are you sure they need proof of religion? who will authenticate your credentials, need notary and attestation too?
Please tell us what your religion is so that we can tell you how to prove it.
Are you getting married at the Catholic Church? I believe they require you to bring your baptismal certificate.
