Who thought this was a complete waste of time.
Apart from sweating most of body weight while sitting in the tennis courts watching some really awful bands. Granted the good one should have been allocated more air time?
Refund wanted!!

My husband and I went out to give some support to the local teens and check out the scene. We were pleasantly surprised by the setup and had a good time mingling with friends and some of the parents whose kids were performing. We appreciated the seperate "adult" section and enjoyed a cocktail. We were happy to give our support and encouragement to the local teens and talents. Anything that we can do to help promote and support the arts in Qatar, we are happy to do. I think it is a great idea to try and establish an artistic outlet for teens here in Qatar. In my opinion, any healthy alternative to the tv, internet, or hanging at the malls is very much needed in this restrictive climate. My understanding of the event is that it was a fundraiser to help establish a future place for young people to play their music and mingle with friends. And from the looks of it, the kids were having a great time and the bands felt like rockstars playing next to the ocean with a great stage set-up. Wish TP2B all the best in their endeavors.

I want to thank everyone who showed up and dealt with the heat. For those of you picking on the bands...many of them were teens who were brave enough to get on stage in front of an audience, some for the FIRST time ever. This event was geared to support the local talent ESPECIALLY the teens in our community, giving them something productive to do instead of hanging in the mall all day and to ensure we will always have talent available for future events like Dune Stock.

All of the bands showed up at 9AM that morning and were there until lunch helping with set up and sound check in the sweltering heat! Many of them had to leave and go take a final that day and were due back at the hotel by 5pm. Even the adult bands were there in the heat and many had other gigs that day as well (Philipino Independence day)

These kids worked hard for the last few weeks rehersing as well as making sure they were fully prepared for their finals. We even offered tutoring to the students to ensure good grades.

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who made Friday night a success and lots of fun...especially the bands, whose genourosity and hard work are greatly appreciated

GodFather.

We sat across the other side of the Marriott in our Company Beach Club and were wondering what the noise was all about.

Music was awful from where I could hear it from..

OMFG i could only take it till the 4th band played. Out of those 4 bands i only liked Jive Turkey they really played well and that guy really sang well too. The first band just murdered the Iron Maiden song :( Then there was one band with a filipino girl who was singing like it was karaoke night.

Good Fortune always comes knocking at your door...when you are sh*tting in the toilet!! :)
