Tortoises
By Arthur Mable •
I have 8 Hermann's Tortoises arriving in Doha from the UK soon. (I bred 4 of these). I would be interested to hear from others who keep tortoises in Qatar, particularly the Mediterranean species, with a view to continuing to breed more here.
Britexpat,
There is nothing special about a Hermann's tortoise - they are just common garden tortoises! Some pictures coming soon from my son back in the UK.
I have confirmed that they are allowed out of the UK and are also allowed to be imported into Qatar. It is true that they are on the endangered list. Furthermore, some species that I wish to breed are on the critically endangered list......as are some of those for sale in the Souk! I am looking for constructive comments and a positive attitude from anybody minded towards breeding and conservation.
t_coffee_or_me is correct.
I doubt they will allowed out of the UK.
Tortoises are in the endangered list I think Customs detain them.
This si something new to me. please post some pictures and also what makes them special.
Thanks
Please post some photos of those species. I saw a lot of tortoise in some petshops. But i dont know their species.
