'Qatarvironment' project launched by journalism students

In a bid to bring to light Qatar’s environmental and sustainability issues, students at Northwestern University's Qatar campus have launched a multimedia website and reporting project.

The project, qatarvironment.org, is produced by students currently in the university’s Advanced Online Storytelling class.

The issues discussed range from food security, recycling, overfishing, carbon dioxide emission levels, energy consumption and endangered species.

For example, a piece entitled "Building a Greener Qatar" was published last week by Marium Saeed, who is part of the project's print team.
