we got a very noisy neighbours. american bachelors. we feel that we are not safe anymore living in this villa compound. they used to have a party drinking and taking ladies with them in the middle of the night. loud disco music.not only that... when they get drunk they fight hit each other. shouting, swearing to each other bad words. threatining to kill each other. breaking beer bottles.banging doors etc. they knock down the lamp post and the security don't do anything about it. nasty people... they are watching videos in a projector using neighbour's wall. knowing that both side are families. i don't that they are so egnorant. to disturb other people. we complaint but, no reply... so, if you are on our place what will you do? some says call the police... i almost did that last night but, i still holding on. because nobody want trouble.

The problem is in the morning, if your tried to knock at their door nobody is in or everybody is sleeping. i saw once a man (when i came from carrefour)he is trying to say bye to a girl around 10 am. must be his night girlfriend. i am sure that they don't have any idea what they did the other night when they start to get drunk. they are all over the place talk loudly on their phone. i really avoiding that my husband will get into trouble with them. becuase he might also lost his temper and ruin everything. so, now we are trying to get out from this place a.s.a.p. but, the landlord just ignoring to return back our cheques.

Guys, why the devilish advices to call police???? at weekend people go for parties, but i doubt that they do that every day,, simply kind advice will work,

unless they are stubborn, which i doubt they will be,

so just kind advice, and i believe they will either go for clubs, or move to somewhere else, or just stay home quietly

this is my point of view.

A friend in need, is A friend indeed!

Not only that these, bachelors don't know how to slow down if getting inside the compound. they knows that in the afternoon children are playing. no humps in the area.

Guys! guys! i been in the UAE for 18 yrs. i been in Alain where all locals around. no, expat that time and i found its more quite and safe. i been also in alot of troubles like police complaint , court etc.etc. i never got worried because i know i have the right. all what you suggested are all applicable. especially the punch on the noise and turning off the power ( i've done that)and i like it. what a relief. anyway. the reason that i need a second thought is. i was single, if i got myself into trouble my local sponsor get me out. but , now is different i have my husband and my 4 years old son with me. i don't want trouble and hazzle for them. my husband is very upset. but he does'nt want any trouble as well. so, he went to the landlord handing over his 1 month notice to leave the house. just to stay away from them.

DEAL IS A DEAL :

Rule 1 : Go to the main power switch & switch off power supply for the flat.

Rule 2 : Go get a baseball or a cricket bat & wack the hell out of them in the dark.

Rule 3 : Switch on the power supply back.

Rule 4 : Have a peaceful sleep ... ZZZzzzz (Snore) :D

to me.

I wrote a polite letter complaining about the situation and gave it to the compound management. Also gave a copy to the neighbors. Along with the list of complaints and rule violations, the letter stated that the next time it happened I would call the police. this put them on notice and immediately stopped the problem.

if i were in your shoe,i'd try & find the pair or else i'd be hobbling around with one shoe eh! *wink*!!!...complain to the people that manage the compound & if that doesn't work, call the cops, plain & simple, the police in this country are very efficient when it comes to matters of "internal security",which this issue comes under & action will be swift & effective...what do you mean "nobody want trouble"??? the cops will obviously ask you some questions since you made the complaint & then they'll do their job, please elaborate on what you mean by "trouble"?...

I dont think there is any need to talk to them, you may risk yourself being insulted... just call the police next time around when they are in action and let them face the consequences.

at this point...definitely report to the police & they will be the ones to come knocking & making them stop. just make sure though that the ruckus is ongoing when you call the police.

Well i think i m more courageous then u..I would have first approach them and try to make them understand the way of living around family area..And if they don't, POLICE r always a better option..But before police would have done nething, i swear i would have punched them hard no matter what trial i need to face further..

If I were in your shoes, I would approach them, but if you don't feel confident enough to do so, then you're best bet is going to the authorities.

Babesphil, I am an american bachelor and I would like to invite you to my home for a nice peaceful and quiet evening, complete with a home cooked candle light dinner including baboy and red wine. If this sounds appealing to you then just reply to me and I will do the rest....Cheers!

Have you tried talking to them and telling them how it affects you that they do all this? This kinda behaviour is common in the US among bachelors and they must think it's normal here too until someone steps up and tells them it is not!

so why didn't you.. they're already causing trouble anyway.. if nobody does something about it, you either find somewhere else to move in to or just take it and take it and take it....

If you don’t call police you will be in trouble...if you have already warned them, you can go to Capital Police station and give a written complaint. I am sure they will do the needful.
