Ezdan Towers

I have just been to have a look at Ezdan Towers for a 1 bed apartment. I will only be looking for an apartment if my wife decides not to join me out here.

Anyway, first impressions were not good but not being one to go by first impressions - what is it like to live there?

Would love to know as the rents are low for WestB Bay.

Thanks

Keith

I went to visit a frient that live there, to me that place is good only for single who never spent time in the APT for more then just to sleep and shower. The APT have no window, the kichen have no vent. Sory Monica just incase you read this post.

Hey Climber, I think you are the pervert everybody's talking about. That's why you left and you are coming back again. I guess we should be on the lookout. Thanks for the warning!!!!!

Vegas: U r right, this is the most famous towe rin Qatar due to its bad stories, and bad name. The issue with Ezdan is that ther eis no maintenance, apart from the poor quality.

And staff is very rudeeeeeeeeee.

The day before yesterday, they washed the windows. Water started coming in through the windows in all rooms. Called management.. All they did was roll up carpets and move furniture till the deluge had stopped. Sofa and curtains got wet.

The Ezdan gym is great , but WHY allow in outsiders? If you go now, many of the treadmils don't have the sound system for the TV working or the TV is faulty.

On Friday, it seems that there are more outsiders there than residents.

When I signed the contract, no one mentioned that non residents will be allowed the use of facilities.

Climber,

Your opinions are anything but modest!

Not all comments are useless and simpleminded and I would ask what gives you the right to attack some very legitimate observations of people who actually LIVE there or have done so - not just those who have become members of the Health Club!

With respect the conclusions you draw are ill-conceived and misdirected.... and not worth elaborating on

Hmmmmm...... Ezdan seems the favorite 'bitch-subject' on QL.... So, my first post on QL against the status quo.

Being a former member (soon again) at the Ezdan Health Club, in my modest opinion one of the better and affordable Health Clubs in town, I must say that after I have read the stories on for instance "the pervert" I have come to the conclusion that the people that complain the most are obviously frustrated, unhappy and lonely people that have nothing else to do but vent their frustrations on a forum like Qatar Living as IRL nobody ever listens to them (?). Completely useless and simple-minded comments that relate to a SINGLE story that can happen anywhere in the world, do people think before posting?

Personally, I have very little comments on the HC or pool.... except for the quality of food maybe, but hey... expectations, in Qatar I realized, I can't have anywhere! So why should that place be any different?

Sure Ezdan is crap in comparison with European standards, but which building is in Doha is without flaws? None, unless you pay 20.000 + (which the complaining parties can not afford).

Anybody ever thought of the owners' business model for his real estate? He solely builds mid-range facilities for mid-market segment, hence. Quality, and the lack thereof, there will always be.

Maybe people should 'bitch' a bit less and not take for granted all the benefits and good that come with expat life. Be a bit less narrow minded and stop acting like "Mrs./Mr. King of the Hill-holier-than-thou-expat".

Get a life.......... relax.

I have known people living there and they also complain about the steam room antics.

And btw, the tower I live isn't poorly constructed with bad finishing. In fact, I could find quite a few that are quite nice. Ezdan stands out for how bad it is.

As I said, it depends on what you're looking for. I know some guys who live there and love it. They work long shifts and just use the place to "crash out". They like the fact that all housekeeping is done for them and that there is a pool and gym within easy reach for the weekend.

security and lax management since they have had some pretty serious issues with pervert "day guest" in the "health club" and pool.

Plus, the finishing is absolutely horrid, not to mention shoddy construction.
