but these guys in big cars who perhaps are a law unto themselves and think of themselves as above the rest are exactly the guys who most people think are committing the accidents...not some poor Indian driving a crappy Sunny or whatever...
Everyone knows who the lousy drivers are.
Most people would be suprised by the fact that most of the accidents are not comitted by the guys who most people think are comitting the accidents but by the guys in theose big cars who perhaps are a law unto themselves and think of themselves as above the rest.
I now many people who don't wanna drive here in Qatar only because they don't wanna have business with those mentals on the streets. So it's also negative selection between drivers involved...
Unfortunately, higher fines, more traffic cameras and police patrols are not enough. At the first place, the justice should be a blind lady...
Too many Expats being given driving licences PLUS the main problem is that they drive on the wrong side of the road :O(
