Did someone else see it too??

Well it is the second time i am witnessing a strange small spiral light red/orange colour hovering over some places here in Doha. First i saw it in westbay next to the schools (french and Qatari school)...keeping same position then suddenly disappeared!!
And today couple of minutes ago, on my way back home, opposite exhibition center, it appeared again and I decided this time to stop and try to capture it with my BBerry, but unfortunately the cam is bad... The object was steady for a while, keeping same position until it started moving towards the direction of center Doha, then I lost it again...strange! and quite close in fact, I'm sure many people could see it.
Even more bizarre if u had a look at it very carefully, it looks like a ball of fire tuning on itself, like spiralling and changing from red to orange and again....
Any other witness? The first time we saw, including my wife my 3 children and the nanny. I am really serious about it, and will keep my Nikon with me on my car for next occasion if happens..so please if any other witness, share with us here !!! So what could this be?

Great pix whiskeyboy. Those search lights in the pix are the common ones. The one I'm mentioning are the ones without trails they are like laser pointers. I guess those who have it should join the thread.

@ solapokan..

Here's the link to the photo taken in Corniche. This powerful search light came from Souq Waqif area....

There was one that I have not yet seen here in Doha,I have seen it in another country. About eight spirals moving in union I guess it is a special kind of search lights. Some first time viewers were terrified. The next day it was reported in national news that there was UFO, lol.

I guess I agree with you there...

These past few days I have seen so many powerful search lights and I have managed to capture some. I realized that they may be one of the strange spiral shapes which I have posted here previously. I planned to post the photo here so that MLK will see. These search lights appeared from Corniche area near Souq Waqif, to West Bay area (one of the buildings in the City Center).

Those interested in UFO's. Find the NASA videos of UFO's sorrounding one of their tethered sattelite. Video with audio communication with command center was captured by NASA aboard the space shuttle. I have a video of it, contact me if you want a copy.

I have just seen this thread and this is for your info. Those spirals are high intensity search lights. The spirals look strange someone will mistakenly though they were UFO's. They are at their best speacially if it penetrates heavy clouds.

He have seen it late November when clouds are heavy in Doha.

Two female aliens from outer space landed in my backyard last night and were wandering around the place. One of them volunteered to come inside and see what was happening. She came out looking rather shocked. !!!What's the matter?!!! Asked her friend. S: It’s a very strange place," replied the first alien. "There were creatures that keep their laser guns between their legs!"

As i have told before, they're not good shots for I didn't used tripod that time and I didn't intend to capture the above objects. It just so happened that my cam caught said objects. At least we can see a little bit of that strange light/glowing things C",)

hi guys,

ok, I'll try Photobucket next time, i forgot about photobucket, lol

I have just uploaded the 2 series of photos that I have in picasaweb. here's the link:

https://picasaweb.google.com/115161348592554786845/November292011?authuser=0&feat=directlink

I have labeled the photos for u to be able to note the first and second capture...

I myself is curious on these strange objects/something, so let me know what do u think of them. Maybe they are just flicker of light or dust or just natural phenomena in the sky. Also, please don't tell me that it is just maybe the lens of my cam, for I did'nt get the same light/glowing objects in my other shots in the same area and time...

In the pictures, u will notice that the people below didn't noticed these things above. I for mysel didn't noticed too. So, technically, I didn't see it, but my cam did!.... The area that these objects appeared were between Katara and The Pearl

Cheers!

Yeah I know, it wasn't really spotlights, not sure though... plus, in my pictures it appears that they are same like what you have discribed like red and glowing, and for a fracture of second the objects covered great distance.

Ok, I'll find a way to post a link here...

Hello MLK,

Lucky for me I found this discussion...

I think we both have seen the same objects/things you are referring to. Just Last month, me and a friend happened to be in Katara area and have some pictures taken.

2 days after, I am supposed to delete the pictures - especially the blurry ones - in my cam. But I saw something strange that caught my cam. They are shaped like spiral, glowing like light or something, and on some point like silhouette. Apparently they are not really good shots, kinda blurry for I didn't use a tripod that time.

I asked some of my friends what they think are those objects. Funny how they're answers were. For me, those are like spotlights like in Batman movies, which are powerful enough to emit lights...

I wanted to pose here the pictures that I still kept, just don't know how C",)... Kindly let me know how, lol...

and does the ball lightning moves straight to a direction after hovering for a while? like taking a left direction in front of you to move??

By mariecor• 29 Nov 2011 15:53

MLK, I do believe you as I also have seen such objects 3 times but not in Qatar. They are not new tech. They are called "ball lightning" that mostly occur after the thunderstorms. Try to google the "ball lightning" and it will give you the explanation. You will find also some reports that not only you or I have seen them.

...in case something similar happens again, someone will be able to capture it this time...

Doha-Chap2022 is completely out of the subject and your comment is just trying to ridicule something that i simply pointed at and trying to understand what it is...it might be a new tech maybe??? I don't know and that is why we raise questions. If you still have a brain and little judgment skills, you should start react as an adult and search for answers istead of repeating stupid behaviors

MLK Gone are the days of Skygazers,

Incindentally you might have spotted it and it could be some sort of sci-fi item or laser or any other electronic gadgetry.

But most of the poeple around found to be gazing on the road through their windshields or over street through the windows of skycrappers.

Is it something like that??

Bloemfontein - The appearance of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) in the Free State have left skygazers puzzled as they try to fathom what they are looking at.

Riaan van Greuning of Eloff near Delmas, said that at 22:00 on Sunday night he saw a strange phenomenon in Harrismith and took photographs of what looks like fireballs.

"It was cloudy and the phenomenon was fairly low in the sky. Five of these objects appeared in a matter of 20 minutes."

Greuning said the fireballs moved from north to south, made no noise and were relatively slow moving.

"I do not know what it was. Something like this makes one think. All I know is that it was not a helicopter's searchlight."

By anonymous• 29 Nov 2011 08:09

Is it something like this?

http://youtu.be/RjGYSGbAEUM

What time did you see it? Not everyone is staring at the night skies all the time, =)

I'd love to see it for me to believe as well,

By the way, my 2 friends have seen them as well last October 2011 in Gharaffa. They said they had no chance to take a video or photo of it as it suddenly disappeared.

I have seen such 3x in my life. Once in my country and 2x with my friends in Al Ain UAE...it is like a ball of fire or light rolling in the ground for few seconds then suddenly disappears. It is actually most of the time seen after lighnings or thunderstorms; sometimes, during calm weather as well.
